Fortnite Issues Persist With The Game’s Servers
A number of issues are affecting Fortnite players on all platforms, which includes PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Though the login problems have been resolved for some, the issue remains that stops players from seeing your friends who are online and being able to join them. Epic Games are working hard to solve these issues, though a timeframe is yet to be confirmed.
Yesterday, Fortnite’s servers were subject to lengthy maintenance as login issues persisted. It initially looked to only affect PS4 players, until it was confirmed on the Xbox Live status page that the game was “experiencing an issue.” This was followed up by a tweet from Epic that stated: “We’re getting reports of players having issues logging in across all platforms. We hear you and are aware of this problem. Work is being done now to find a solution for this. Updates will be available once we have more information. Thanks for sticking with us!”
Previously, Epic had to increase the server downtime because of issues discovered during the maintenance, which was based around a number of changes and new introductions, including the Chug Jug item. In turn, the release of this patch ironically led to a number of bugs coming into the game. One key issue surrounded the key-binding issues on certain players’ keyboards, though this has since been fixed. Epic are continuing to work on sight views, reloading problems and the UI related to building.
Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
