The immensely popular battle royale game Fortnite is coming to mobile devices, allowing fans to play the 100-player game on phones and tablets.
The game is currently available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and will feature the same gameplay, map, content and updates as the other versions do. Support for Android will be coming in the next few months, whilst there will be an Invite Event on iOS which you can sign up for from Monday.
Epic Games has teamed up with Sony too to bring cross play support play between PS4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android at a later date. Epic’s vision of the game is that they believe “this is the future of games. The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want.”
As previously stated, the sign up event for iOS will start on Monday, which will see invite emails being sent out not long after. Once you receive an email, there will be a link to download the game through the App Store. Fear not if the invite doesn’t get to you right away, as players will be added on a regular basis over the course of the next few months. Those who do receive invites will also receive friend invite codes to be shared with others.
Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
