Fortnite Experiencing More Issues From New Update
Updating and patches are a double-edged sword for video games. On one hand, they’re needed to fix problems that can stem within the game that the dev team didn’t know about before, or add new content. On the other hand though, if they’re not handled the right way, they can cause more problems than they solve or bring outweigh the goods brought into the game. Epic Games has been working hard over the last few days to fix errors from an update in Fortnite.
We reported yesterday that a glitch within a new update was making it so that players couldn’t get their rewards or XP after battles were complete. Now, the update seems to be making it so that players can’t get into Fortnite at all. Several people were going to Twitter to report that they weren’t able to play the game, and Epic Games did promptly reply with:
Game Services had a short interruption and has since recovered. There is currently a login queue while we get everyone back into the game.
The servers have been fixed apparently, but we wouldn’t be surprised if more issues popped up based on what’s happened the last few days. We’ll keep you posted on that.
That being said, everything else that’s been going on in Fortnite has been pretty much aces. The game is growing more and more popular by the month. Player growth is astounding, and they even broke a record on Youtube in regards to a stream, which is very impressive.
Plus, Epic Games is providing lots of new content. The update that caused these issues is also responsible for bringing in new gear for players to get. Also, there’s a new Sniper mode that players get into. And who knows what else the game will get down the line.
