Fortnite Experience Server Issues Due To 50v50 Mode
In video games, nothing is ever certain, especially when it comes to updating a game, and adding new features to it. For while testing is a good thing, there’s some things that can only be tested once the game’s features are on display for all to see. In the case of Fortnite, they were on Cloud 9 of sorts after revealing their newest mode 50 vs. 50. But, once the mode became live, all sorts of issues started to make themselves known, forcing Epic Games to think fast.
Mainly, when players tried to connect to the mode and get into matches, they were met with either server issues, or having to wait a ridiculously long time just to enter them. As if that wasn’t enough, players were also having trouble hooking up with friends to enter the various modes in Fortnite. this spread so fast that Epic Games was forced to make a post on their Twitter feed ensuring players that things would be worked out.
We know you’ve all been patient with the Friends and Connection issues we’ve been experiencing. Just wanted to drop in and say we should have a more in-depth update coming soon!

It’s been a few days, and things seem to have been calmed down, even though certain issues will be fixed later on like wins not counting on a record and other smaller issues.
What will be interesting here is whether this server issue will make Epic Games change how long Fortnite has its 50 vs. 50 mode. For when they announced it at The Game Awards last week, it was meant to be a limited event, but, with people not being able to play it like they intended to, it could see an extension. We’ll just have to see.
If you’ve played the new mode, do let us know what you think of it.
