Fortnite Developers Apologize For Downtime
Can you imagine how many new players Fortnite gets every day? Probably twice the amount that we imagine, and all of those players want to play the game as much as possible, so downtime is an inconvenience for everyone. There were some instances where the game got some extended downtime, and so the developers decided that they want to apologize to their fanbase in a video where they also talk about the weapon swapping changes, and more.
Downtimes are expected in times when a game unexpectedly blows up, as you need to maintain your servers when a new wave of players come in, balance the game, add new things, and do loads of other things. So it’s quite strange to see them apologize in their Twitter video, but it seems like that they really want to keep things straight with their fans, which is a nice thing. The weapon swapping changes that they talked about were made in order to keep players from constantly swapping between weapons and spraying everyone with hot lead. But, the changes that were made to the Snipers and Crossbows were rolled back, but the others were kept in the game and the developers are keeping an eye on them in order to make sure that everything is balanced.
It’s really awesome to see how Epic Games are working really hard to improve Fortnite as much as possible, and to also make it as polished as much as they can. With this amount of support for the game, it will only get better and attract more customers, and in the end, Fortnite will take over the whole world.
