Pillars of Eternity 2 was another terrific RPG with an impressive world, astounding RPG mechanics, and overall enjoyable gameplay. Now, if you already played through the game and are looking for new content, don’t worry, the Beast of Winter is coming.
The Beast of Winter DLC is all about chilly things and cults that worship the end of the world. Sounds interesting enough for you? There is a quickly growing iceberg somewhere and of course, there is a doomsday cult there which mistakes you for a herald of the end times. Naturally, the cult then invites you over to party with them and celebrate the end of all existence. As you can imagine, this piece of DLC is going to bring new items to Pillars of Eternity 2, challenging new dungeons, and entertaining quests.
In an interview with MMORPG, we also find out that the Beast of Winter is coming with a brand new type of item. The Trinkets are items which allow you to use to cast immensely powerful abilities which you can use again only when you rest. These will be very useful, and can turn a losing fight into a winning one, but you will have to learn when to use them and when not to.
We are very excited to learn more about the Beast of Winter when the DLC officially launches in August.
