Civilization VI is a testament to how far the Civilization franchise has come since its inception. The brainchild of legendary game designer Sid Meijer, the franchise has allowed players to become a nation and truly take over the world…in the way they desire. With every sequel, and expansion, the game has grown in significant ways. And the latest title is no different, as an upcoming expansion, Rise and Fall, will seek to bring even more detail into the game, and Firaxis is going to be detailing that very soon.
Recently, developer Firaxis have been releasing videos detailing the new leaders that you can have via Civilization VI: Rise and Fall. But, in an interesting twist, on Twitter, they announced that tomorrow they’ll change things up:
“We’re taking a quick break from leader reveals this week. Instead, tune in TOMORROW for FULL DETAILS on all the new features coming to Civilization VI: Rise and Fall!”
Firaxis did go into detail on these features when Rise and Fall was announced last year, making you wonder just what they’re going to reveal in the presumed video (as that’s how the leaders were detailed) that’s coming.
Some of the Rise and Fall features are indeed going to deepen the game in significant ways. For example, empires can now have Golden and Dark Ages. The former was a part of the game before, but this version will be much more impactful. Each one will help give you boosts or deficits depending on what you have.
Then, there’s a brand new loyalty system, which will make it so you have to be mindful of your cities so that they don’t rebel against you. There are also governors that you can get, emergencies that you can be a part of, and much more. Stay tuned for when the video arrives.
