As it is in the real world, it’s summertime in Eos and its time to celebrate with the latest update for the month of July in Final Fantasy XV. This free download includes a few particular highlights, including Magitek Exosuits, a new quest and more.
The new Magitek Exosuits give you 30 minutes of invincibility a day, for the characters Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis to go head-to-head with enemies. The exosuits can still be worn in-game, even after the invincibility has worn off. As for the new quest, titled “O Partner, My Partner”, can be taken on after completing Chapter 8, which can be accepted from the Meldacio Hunter HQ.
The update also brings a new Cross Chain collaboration system, which essentially gives players the chance to damage defensive enemies heavily from increasing the number of linked attacks. This can be used once you’ve acquired the two Royal Arms, with the Sword of the Wise and Axe of the Conqueror.
Finally, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival will be returning from July 31st through to the end of September, which has players of all levels heading to Altissia for special mini-games, Chocobo water races and special Moogle Chocobo menu items available from the Square Enix Cafe. These, in particular, will be available for a limited time only, and require the Holiday Pack to be installed.
