Final Fantasy XV For PC Is Getting A Sims Costume Pack
Ok, this is starting to get a little ridiculous. I mean, I get it Square Enix, you like doing this kind of thing, but the Sims? Seriously? Ok, let’s rewind a bit. Last year, Square Enix dropped a bombshell in that Final Fantasy XV would be getting some very special DLC via a crossover with Assassin’s Creed Origins. One of the cities of the XV’s world would be transformed to match the game, Noctis and crew would get assassin’s gear, etc. It was cool to be fair, and that was the end of it, right? Wrong.
Because, with the upcoming launch of Final Fantasy XV on PC, Square Enix is doing even more crossovers. As we noted previously, if you pre-order the game on Steam, you’ll get a special Half-Life outfit. This is also cool, and also the end of the crossovers, right? Wrong. Because now, Square Enix has revealed that a costume pack from The Sims is coming to the PC version of the game.
Don’t believe us? Well, here’s the trailer to make you believe, this is really happening, dear gosh, it’s happening. Now, much like the Assassin’s Creed crossover, The Sims 4 will soon allow your character to dress up as Noctis, so the swap goes both ways…if you want to use it.
It’s also worth noting that the cosmetics within the costume pack will work in both the singleplayer and multiplayer modes for Final Fantasy XV.
Now, should you want this…we’re not judging, you have to pre-order/buy the game via EA’s Origin Store before May 1st. So like the Half-Life gear, this is exclusive to one place.
If you’re hoping for more substantial things to come, take heart in that four more character episodes are coming to the game between this year and next. Or, if you’re just waiting for the PC version to release, your wait is almost over as it arrives on the 6th.
