Final Fantasy XV Mod Lets You Swap In Your Own Music
Players like to have freedom in video games. Whether it’s having an open-world to explore at their leisure, or the ability to choose how to grow their character within the game, having freedom is a big plus in any title. But, if a game needs a little more freedom…there’s always mods. Mods are the ultimate way to get what you want from a game, and while most go over-the-top to deliver on things, some are more basic and fun. For example, a new mod for Final Fantasy XV lets you listen to more music.
How so? Well, modder LucasLC has made it so you can go into the files of the game and either extract the soundtracks within the title to put onto your own device (so you can listen to it whenever you want), or, you can swap music files within Final Fantasy XV itself so that your music will play when you’re driving in the car with Noctis and the guys.
Again, it’s a simple change, but it can lead to a lot of fun. Imagine playing Ozzy Osbourne, or Bruno Mars, or even Mariah Carey in your car during key travels? Wouldn’t that be hilarious to see? Now, true, Noctis and crew wouldn’t be reacting to the music itself, but that’s what you’re there for!
If it sounds a little complicated, don’t worry, LucasLC explains how to install, transfer and extract all the files from the NexusMods page where you can get the mod. So you’ll be up and playing modern tunes in no time. Or, you’ll be listening to Final Fantasy XV music in the real-world in no time.
The title has been in the news a lot recently. The PC version of the beloved RPG just came out, the multiplayer mode Comrades got a big update with it, and more episodic DLC is on the way.
