Square Enix’s upcoming ARPG, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake got delayed so its no longer coming in March but in April.
2020 the year of delays
Final Fantasy 7 is a cult-classic. Many FF fans are eagerly expecting the new and polished up version of that title. Final Fantasy 7 Remake, unfortunately, won’t bless our screens when it’s supposed to. Megacorporations keep skipping events, developers can’t stop delaying anything and everything. What’s going on? It just started yet 2020 is already jampacked with sad news. I hope this isn’t a glimpse of things to come. 2020 is full of mindblowing releases, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is one of those. That’s why Final Fantasy 7 Remake getting delayed hurts. Thankfully, we only have to wait a month longer than expected. The game is getting released for the PS4 on April 10th, 2020.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake devs don’t want a shoddy release
This isn’t that bad. Games can be delayed for half a year. Sometimes even more. This case isn’t that severe in contrast to those ones. Of course, the delay is happening because of polishing. In an industry where triple-A titles get released in an unplayable state, I’m certain certain developers want to avoid that happening. Their statement pretty much confirms that:
We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer.
Will a month be too unbearable for you? After all, people have been waiting for a long time to dive deep into the Final Fantasy 7 Remake experience. Let me know what you think about this delay in the comments section!
