Slay the Spire, one of the most brilliant card building roguelike games we ever played, got its final act in today’s update.
There is no card building game out there that we enjoyed as much as we enjoyed Slay the Spire. Everything from the roguelike elements, the deck building complexity, the art style, the depth of the combat, it all fits together perfectly. Now, we talked about the Final Act before, but it is finally out now. Yes, we will be able to slay the Spire once and for all now, which is great as the only thing this title needed was some sort of completion.
So, what is the Final Act all about you might ask? If you own the game, in our opinion, just go and play it. You can find out yourself if you managed to complete a run with each of the characters. We still haven’t played with the Defect, as it doesn’t look like a class that we would enjoy, but it seems like we have to play with him too in order to get a chance at the last boss. What is the boss like? We have no idea yet, but we will surely let you know once we get to him.
It seems like the devs are going on vacation, so the next patch is coming on December 6th. Slay the Spire was also supposed to get released today, as its the game’s anniversary, but the devs have more things they want to add before officially launching the game out of Early Access.
