We are now just a month away from the release of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft’s most ambitious entry into the series, and that’s saying something given what the franchise has done in the past. Ubisoft though has worked very hard on bringing life to this game so that it’s not just another shooter, but one full of opportunity, as well as a life all its own. You’ll get to do a lot within the game, including driving or piloting a ton of vehicles.
IGN has been doing a string of videos highlighting certain things within the game, and they’ve released one that details some of the vehicles you can use in the game, with Ubisoft’s team describing why they’re important or how they can help you in the game. From cars and jeeps, to motorcycles, to planes and helicopters, there’s a lot for you to use in your quest to stop Eden’s Gate.
But you won’t be using them just for missions, you can use them to explore the vast regions of Hope County, which will no doubt be occupying much of your time, as there’s a lot to do within the game world. What’s more, some of the allies you can recruit will pilot some of the vehicles in the game and support you as you carry out missions.
Any way you look at it, these vehicles are going to give you a lot of versatility and mobility as you wander around the realm of Far Cry 5.
The game itself puts you in Montana, as a cult known as Eden’s Gate is slowly trying to take over Hope County. You’re called in to try and stop it, but you can’t do it alone. Join the resistance, cripple the cult’s resources, then go after the head of the snake, Father Joseph Seed.
Far Cry 5 releases March 27th.
