Far Cry 5 To Have Vehicle Customization
Far Cry 5 was revealed to be delayed, as the team at Ubisoft is working hard to make the game the most “ambitious” title in the Far Cry family, which is saying something. But, while the release has been pushed back to March 27th, the game itself is still revealing new details. And one in particular is no doubt going to intrigue fans of the franchise. For in this game, not only will you be to drive very fast cars in the game, you’ll be able to customize them from head to toe.
This comes from Lead Programmer Raphael Parent, who tells USGamer all about it. While he says this is the “first time” for this, that’s not exactly true, however, it was never to this extent, as you’ll not just be able to change the paint job, or other cosmetic things, you’ll truly be able to go all out on it:
“You’re going to be able to add turrets, the mulcher on the tractor, different paintjobs. It was just a matter of giving that control to the player. “
Yes, you heard that right, tractor, there are a bunch of more “rural” vehicles that you can drive and customize in the game, including a tractor, and a big rig! Imagine customizing that to be more menacing. Speaking of menacing, Parent wouldn’t go into detail into just how far the customization goes, but it’s very clear that this will be large and in charge. Maybe even on the level of The Crew, we’ll have to see.
Naturally, having these vehicles will make traveling through Hope County an easier deal, but also can come in handy for key combat situations, which just adds another level to the depth Far Cry 5 will have. And this still only scratches the surface of what the game is offering.
