Far Cry 5 Once Again On Top Of UK Charts
Much like a movie, it’s always good for a video game to debut at the top of the charts when it releases. However, also like a movie, seeing how good it does after its first weekend is also important. If it stays on top, it likely means that critics and gamers have liked the game and are spreading good words about it. Such is the case, at least in the UK, about Far Cry 5. For the title has gotten is second No.1 spot in a row on their charts.
Now, it is true that Far Cry 5 didn’t have any opposition in terms of new titles. In fact, the No.2 game on the UK charts last week was FIFA 18, followed by Sea of Thieves. However, given how popular FIFA is in Europe, if the new Far Cry game hadn’t been up to snuff, it likely would’ve dropped heavily, which has been seen before.
However, it is on top of the charts, and that’s to be praised. In fact, many have praised the game for its lush landscape that is based in Montana, and was, in fact, designed after the literal state of Montana. The team at Ubisoft actually went to the state and took pictures of it and footage so that they can recreate the true feeling of the ecosystem.
Another thing critics and gamers have been appreciating is that there is variety in terms of how to get things done and who you can partner up with in the game. And Ubisoft is going to continue to bring new content via both DLC and live events that will test gamers in new and fun ways.
It’ll be interesting to see how Far Cry 5 does in the UK charts, and the charts around the world, in the weeks to come. We’ll let you know if it does anything big.
