Far Cry 5 Has Launched Its First Live Event
One of the joys of Far Cry 5 is that there are plenty of things to do in it. You have a massive world to explore, activities and missions galore, and many ways to tackle your problems. Including the cult that’s ravaging the land. However, if you’re looking for something new, you’re in luck. For Ubisoft has just launched the first of its “Live Events” for the game. These will offer new challenges for a limited time, and if you complete them, you’ll get some cool rewards.
As revealed on Twitter, the first event is called “Well Done”. And the challenge itself is laid down by your companion in the game Hurk. He wants you to try and set some critters on fire. Easy enough, right? But, there’s a catch, you can’t use flamethrowers or Molotov cocktails. Here’s what the tweet says:
“Hurk thinks you need flamethrowers and molotovs to light up the wildlife- can you prove him wrong? Finish the event by April 10th to claim your rewards for a job Well Done!”
You’ll have to get a bit creative in order to use fire to kill some critters. So don’t be afraid to think outside the box in order to get the job done. To that end, as you try and complete the task, you’ll see silver bars put on screen for every challenge kill you do. If you are able to get 20 kills, you’ll get a reward in the form of the Flamebearer Flamethrower.
But wait! There’s more. This live challenge isn’t just for you the player, but for the community itself. If the community gets 150,000 flame kills, you’ll get a special flamebearer outfit to go along with the flamethrower you’ll have earned.
So, if you’re ready to prove Hurk wrong, hop into Far Cry 5 and get it done. You have until the 10th.
