Far Cry 5 is already going to be a massive title in terms of scope and content. The game’s setting is Montana, and the team at Ubisoft actually went to Montana to ensure that they perfectly recreated what the environment and terrain was, then, they littered the area with plenty of activities for you to go and find and do. So, what else could you add to a game like this to make it more complete? Well, DLC of a unique kind, of course.
The official Far Cry 5 Season Pass has been detailed, and players who get it will get three very special additions to their game via “Dead Living Zombies”, “Hours Of Darkness”, and “Lost On Mars”. Yep, they’re going really crazy this time, and honestly, we don’t mind, it’s worked for them in the past.
“Dead Living Zombies” will put the player against…well…zombies. But, it’ll be via “B-Movie Scenarios”, so expect cheesiness and violence galore.
Now, “Hours Of Darkness” however is something altogether more serious, as you’ll get to travel back in time to the Vietnam War, and face off against the Viet Kong. Do you think you can survive that?
Still not enough? Still not the level of crazy you want? Well, “Lost On Mars” will literally take you off of Earth and put you on the Red Planet. Once there, you’ll have to face waves of arachnids that are trying to kill you quite violently.
Oh, and if you do get the season pass, you’ll get Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which is the full singleplayer game (no DLC).
This Season Pass does resemble Far Cry 3, as that was the game that brought Blood Dragon to the world (and the world was grateful). What’s more, this DLC honestly doesn’t interfere with what Far Cry 5 is as a game, so there’s no fear of “late entries” that should’ve been there from the start.
Far Cry 5 will release on March 27th.
