It’s no secret that Friday the 13th: The Game has struggled with many issues since the game has launched. Perhaps more importantly, many of the issues have yet to be fixed.
Which is why many fans of the game are understandably annoyed by the fact that developer Illfonic are set to release another game with Dead Alliance. This was announced somewhat under the radar back in May, and many Friday the 13th fans weren’t aware that the game was by Illfonic. Therefore, a number of gamers have complained that Illfonic have neglected Friday the 13th in favor of this other project, which would explain why key issues still haven’t been fixed. What is also for fans is that the release for Dead Alliance isn’t that far away, with the game due for release in beta on July 27th, followed by a full release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 29th.
Surely the focus from Illfonic should be on fixing a game that has been plagued by problems since launch, before turning attention to the next project. Having said that, publisher Gun Media has confirmed that single-player content will be coming to Friday the 13th: The Game this year, and will be available for free. The studio has also promised that fixes will be made to the slasher, though when they will arrive remains to be seen.
