A possible rumor and then a strange tweet from Obsidian hint at the possibility of us getting Fallout: New Vegas 2.
How did I miss the fact that Microsoft now owns both Obsidian and Bethesda? I have no clue, but thankfully Tyler McVicker reminded me of something I’ve been waiting to hear for a while now.
He’s a guy that does Valve leaks and rumors. Well, he did ONLY that but now he’s branching out. Tyler said a lot of things on Twitter these past couple of days. I mean is he speaking the truth? Does he REALLY know about Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6, and all these projects that are shrouded in mystery? Probably not, but something else clicked. Fallout: New Vegas 2 is a possibility, at least if we’re to take a real good look at just one tweet. No, not Tyler’s.
I expect FNV2 in the latter half of this decade. I expect TES6 in 2026-7. I expect anything close to a Fallout 5 in the 2030s.
Starfield is next, and even that needs another year or two.

Is Obsidian hinting at something? Maybe they’re just saying that it’s possible. Yet, I’m sure the devs over at Obsidian know that New Vegas is a classic. And a lot of people would love to see a sequel. The Mojave Wasteland is a world that many RPG fans absolutely adore. We’d gladly explore it again. I would be happy even with a remaster of New Vegas. But, Obsidian is already working on Avowed, their take on fantasy RPGs. Maybe after that, we could get a sequel to one of the most enjoyable RPGs I’ve ever played.
¯_(ツ)_/¯ https://t.co/MqyiuNsWS2

You can pick up Fallout: New Vegas on HRK Game for a dirt-cheap price. You can also check out their other RPG series, the Pillars of Eternity titles.
