The world of Fallout is one of post-apocalyptic disaster, where you are one of the few remaining humans in the world and have to try and survive this “world” that is around you. The most recent entry into the game, Fallout 4, pushed the game into an even bigger world (which, if you played Fallout 3 you likely thought wasn’t possible), as well as delivered even more content to do. But, now that world is set to get even bigger, as some modders are bringing a classic piece of Fallout history into the game. They’re making Fallout 4: New Vegas.
If you never played it, Fallout: New Vegas was a “side entry” to the series that was made by Obsidian. The game was very well made, and grew quite a following. So much so, that fans want a sequel to it.
Moving back to the mod though, this is being made by a team of fans who want to bring the entire game world of New Vegas into Fallout 4. And…they’re off to a good start.
Naturally, the team behind the mod are very excited about what they’re doing, and they can’t wait to reveal more of it.
“We’re quickly approaching a point where we hope to start showing off some very cool stuff – we’ve hit a phase in development where it feels like each passing day the Mojave Wasteland becomes more and more alive, and we’re really excited to begin sharing this!”
To bring this to life, they’re using Fallout 4’s Creation Engine, that way it’ll truly look like New Vegas is a natural part of the game.
Now, if you’re worried about any “legal” issues, you shouldn’t fret. Bethesda is famous for letting its modders do just about anything they want. There are some lines they can’t cross of course, but for this? We think they’ll let it slide. So, will you go to Fallout: New Vegas when it arrives?
