The follow-up to Bethesda’s grotesque horror experience is now available, with the release of The Evil Within 2. Aptly releasing today on Friday the 13th, this sequel takes the series to a whole new level.
The Evil Within 2 sees the return of protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, who this time has a much more personal mission. In the last outing, Sebastian found himself in the terrifying world of STEM, and through a terrifying ordeal of both body and mind, he managed to narrowly escape with his life as the game came to its climax. This time, players must find out the truth behind STEM and more importantly, save his daughter Lily.
Throughout the first game, Lily was presumed dead, adding a whole new twist to the tale as Sebastian frantically attempts to rescue his daughter from the evil clutches of the corporation. What’s more, is that the first game took a more traditional survival horror approach in a more linear setting. The Evil Within 2 meanwhile offers a more open world approach for a game such as this, therefore expanding the world far beyond the last entry.
The Evil Within 2 is now available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for all you horror fans out there.
