EVE Online Gets Performance Patch On Tuesday
EVE Online players, have you ever thought about the missile explosions in the game and if they are demanding on your system? Well, as they are the most used weapon, you already know that there are millions of missiles exploding every day. That’s a lot of explosions, and it seems like they could be affecting your performance. Yes, this is actually happening, there is a performance patch coming this Tuesday to tone down the spectacular and demanding explosions of the missiles.
Can you imagine how weird it is to have explosions so freaking awesome that they are ruining your performance? That is pretty cool, you have to admit, but then again, you don’t want that in your game. And so, the developers of EVE Online have a plan and a patch for this:
With the Triglavian Deviant Automata Suppressors as inspiration (they are remarkably good at cleaning up missiles, after all), the Audio & Graphics Group decided to take a look at missile graphics and make some improvements in order to improve the performance of clients running missile heavy scenes.
Just, before you start asking questions like, does their damage go down, do they travel slower, and that sort of thing. No, they are staying the same in terms of all of their stats, so they will still most likely be used as the number one weapon when it comes to efficiency.
