Team17 and Mouldy Toof have announced the release of The Escapists 2, the sequel to the award-winning prison escape game, and is now available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The first game released back in 2015, and enjoyed plentiful success with over four million downloads. The Escapists 2 looks to build upon the foundations laid down by it’s predecessor, by introducing enhanced graphics, crafting and combat, plus the addition of multiplayer, something that has been heavily requested by fans.
Players can expect 10 different themed prisons to attempt to escape from, which includes three transit prisons across land, air and sea. If this is your first experience with a game like this, fear not, as a dedicated tutorial will be available to you, in the form of Precinct 17.
You’ll be able to play each prison, either solo or multiplayer with both local and online co-op and versus modes for up to four players. Speaking of multiplayer, this will be a drop-in, drop-out experience, so plan your escape accordingly with fellow inmates either online or locally.
The Escapists 2 is now available on Xbox One PS4 and PC. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is currently in development.
