Team17 has announced today that they have launched a free update for the sandbox escape game The Escapists 2 on the PC platform. This update in particular focuses on a heavily requested fan feature, which is a Prison Map Editor.
The introduction of the new Editor will give players the opportunity to design and create their very own custom prisons to run around in. This allows you to drag and drop different elements and rooms into their prison, of which can be built over two floors, as well as two vent layers and a roof. So you’ll have the chance to construct cells, build floors and manage maintenance rooms and much more, offering plentiful freedom.
What’s more, once you have finished designing your very own prison, you can then share your creation with fellow players over on the Steam Workshop, which can be played with either solo or as part of the multiplayer.
The update is now available through Steam for The Escapists 2. Meanwhile, you can also purchase the game on Xbox One and PS4, with a Nintendo Switch version currently in development.
