Epic Games doesn’t seem to be slowing down as far as Fortnite is concerned. You’d think so with the Horde Bash event inevitably coming to an end, yet the game is preparing a brand new event to celebrate Halloween. Fortnite update 1.8 is set for release on Thursday, October 26th, and will bring a new zone, new characters and weapons.
Epic Games stated: “We’re kicking off the spookiest time of the year in a big way with our Fortnitemares Event, which comes with a brand new zone – Hexsylvania. Get lost in the deep levels of the catacombs, the endless halls of flickering candles or the thick fog creeping across the map!”

Horde Bash will end on Thursday, October 26th, so you should check it out as soon as possible if you haven’t done already. As for the Halloween event, you’ll find 25 Story Quests, as well as spooky creatures including the Pumpkin Hard Husk and the Vampire Taker, as well as the Spooky Llama which you can purchase with candy. You can also get into the Halloween spirit with eight themed heroes, new weapons such as the Pumpkin Launcher and the Grave Digger, and a creepy lobby background to go with it.
The event begins on Thursday, October 26th, so mark your calendars if you’re a fan of Fortnite.
