Elite Dangerous Gets Update 3.0.5
Space adventurers, we have some good news for you! Elite Dangerous got its 3.0.5 update yesterday, which fixed the issue with the Trade Data that we heard about the other day. This update already came out, so you should be able to play the game normally now, at least on the PC, as this fix still isn’t live on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, but it is coming to those platforms sometime next week.
The PC update fixed the issue which caused the bug with the Commander’s Trade Data. It will now display, as it should, without any issues. New local generated news articles will now also get displayed properly, while the legacy authored local news are no longer shown. Certain bugs with the game’s missions were also patched up. For example, the rank-up missions in Elite Dangerous sometimes increase the rank with the opposing Superpower, which shouldn’t occur anymore. Overloading Mission Boards have also been reduced in order to stop disconnection issues. Finally, the last thing that was solved in this update is one rather strange ability that certain players possessed, and that is the power to enter a destroyed ship. This power was deemed too powerful, and it was removed, so now no one can enter a ship that has met its demise, at least not while it is still a wreck.
