There aren’t many games on the market that are like Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2. Well, we do have Vermintide I and II now, but still, that isn’t much of a choice. Some people may prefer to shoot lots of aliens instead of zombies, you know, since preferences exist and all that. Thankfully, there is a new kid on the block, and he likes to shoot extraterrestrials as well, so we are in luck. Earthfall is an action-packed shooter with impressive graphics, ugly and terrifying aliens, and from the looks of it, rather solid overall gameplay.
Honestly, we are kind of disappointed. When we heard about a game that was like Left 4 Dead but with aliens, we also wanted to see some cool alien tech. But, luck did not smile at us today, as the trailer contains mostly regular guns that you can see every day and nothing that shoots lasers. Still, when it comes to the design of the aliens, it is rather spectacular, and they do look really scary. It’s good to see a game that can pull off enemies that can actually frighten you, that is needed especially if they’re supposed to be this big mean monsters that are wiping out the human race.
Earthfall might just be the next PvE multiplayer shooter that we were looking for, or it may miss. We’ll see, the trailer can’t tell us much, so we will have to go and play the game to see if it’s any good.
