EA Pleased With Anthem Response So Far

For a publisher, they have to not only help launch a video game, but they have to help build it up in the eyes of the potential people that are going to buy it. As such, they have a lot to do if they want it to potentially succeed. EA may be referred to as one of the worst companies on the planet (because of business decisions and microtransaction controversies), but they still do their job in regards to showing off their games. And one they’re really focusing on is Anthem from Bioware.

The massive RPG is coming out next year, and is a very important title for them given what happened with Mass Effect: Andromeda. At E3 2018, they showed off the game to players and let theme experience the world. And apparently, it was a big success. According to Andrew Wilson,

“We’re also pleased with the excitement building for Anthem, a new IP set to launch in February. Our EA Play demo sessions for Anthem were packed from beginning to end, and we’re continuing to see great interest and anticipation from fans wanting to learn more.”

He went on to praise Bioware for all the work they’re doing with the game:

“BioWare is building incredible depth and innovation in this new shared-world experience, and we look forward to sharing much more with our players in the month ahead, including pre-launch opportunity to jump into the game.”

It’s certainly good to hear that EA is liking what Bioware is doing with Anthem, but many of the real tests have yet to be done. Bioware has promised that this game is going to be their biggest yet, so a more accurately sized demo will be crucial to showing off their vision.

But until then, we just have to hope everything goes well on all sides of the spectrum.
