Unfortunately, EA Play won’t be showing many of the most anticipated releases, including any Star Wars titles you were hoping to see.
I’m safe to say we’re all happy the Star Wars franchise got to branch out from just Ubisoft. Even though they’re also making a brand new open-world type Star Wars game. Are you excited to see it? The Division team is making it, so it’s in good hands?
Alas, there are other devs working on their own Star Wars series. Respawn Entertainment, the ones behind the excellent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are also hiring people for their Star Wars team. We may just see a clash of newly released Star Wars titles in the upcoming future. Isn’t that strange, considering a couple of years back this highly popular sci-fi epic had almost no representation in the video gaming sphere?
However, it seems EA Play isn’t the place for Star Wars news. We also won’t see Dragon Age 4 there as well. What the hell are we supposed to be excited about then? They better prepare a hell of a showcase when most of the highly anticipated games aren’t getting their time in the spotlight.
At least EA says they’re revealing their “vision for the Galaxy far, far away!” next year. It better not just be a Battlefront 3 announcement.
