It’s currently a hotbed for sporting releases and updates as far as Electronic Arts is concerned between now and the end of the year. The company will be delivering a fast-paced hockey experience with the launch of NHL 18, starring Creative Attack controls, a new Defensive Skill Stick, further advanced AI and an all-new 3v3 gameplay feature to capture the most realistic Ice Hockey game possible.
The introduction of the new NHL THREES mode, which offers a high-octane 3-on-3 piece of action coupled with both unique arenas and all new commentary to check out. This new mode brings faster gameplay, complete with big hits and bigger scores to be enjoyed both online competitively or with couch co-op. There’s also the new NHL THREES Campaign Mode, which can be played offline or in co-op with a friend. This will see players competing in a circuit-style method against different teams, in which objective-based rewards can be unlocked as progression goes on.
Senior Producer Sean Ramjagsingh is excited to be bringing this celebration of rising young stars to the gaming world: “There’s a generational shift happening in the NHL right now where younger players like Connor McDavid are bringing more speed, skill and creativity to the game than we’ve ever seen before. We’re so excited to bring that to life in NHL 18 with features that reflect that new NHL®, like insane skill moves and faster, 3-on-3 hockey.”
