EA Changes Need For Speed Payback’s Progression System
EA has been under fire a lot recently, and for justifiable reasons. Mainly, they’ve been making their games either really hard to progress through, or very expensive to try and progress through. Star Wars Battlefront II was so littered with this that fans fought back, and EA was forced to make numerous revisions to the game just before its launch. Yet, with those changes, many wondered if EA would do this for their other titles that had similar things. Turns out, they are, as EA has announced changes to Need For Speed Payback.
Via a Reddit post, a member of the team posted that changes for the game are indeed coming, and some of them are in fact very close to being live.
“Our aim with these changes is to make the progression, especially around the ownership of cars a much more enjoyable experience,” said Redditor F8RGE.
So, what are some of the things you can expect to be better and changed for Need For Speed Payback? Well, if you participate in events, you’re going to get more REP and BANK. Furthermore, Bait Crates will give you more REP and BANK too. You’ll also get more if you compete against a Roaming Racer. And that’s just the updates that are available now.
F8RGE also teased that a new update will be coming to help improve the Tune-Up Shop. Highlighting that the parts they have in there will be a key focus for them.
So far, players have been grateful for these changes, and with the promise of more to come, it’s possible that’ll grow. The real question will be how far they go to make it up to their players. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
But at the very least, EA is admitting they made mistakes, and that they’re trying to do better.
