Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Gets New Expansion On The 28th
Dragon Ball is on the tips of everyone’s tongues in 2018. Right now, the final (potential) episode of Dragon Ball Super are airing, Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the biggest games of the year so far, and a Dragon Ball movie is rumored to be coming out this year as well. With all of that going on, it’s easy to forget that there’s another Dragon Ball game that has been doing very well for itself, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. And you won’t forget it when its new expansion DLC arrives next week.
On the 28th, the Extra Pack #2, subtitled Infinite History, brings several new characters into Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, including Ultra Instinct Goku, Jiren, and Android 17. Not only that though, a brand new original character Fu brings not only a new fighter, but a whole new story for you to participate in. Which means that there’s a lot more for you to do in the game. If you want to get even more hyped for it, check out this trailer.
For those who are unaware, Ultra Instinct Goku and Jiren are from the Dragon Ball Super anime. Jiren is from another universe, and is fighting in the Tournament of Power to try and save his own universe, which in the process would destroy Goku’s. He’s incredibly powerful, and has taken out numerous competitors on his own, including Android 17 and Vegeta.
As for Goku, he’s reached a new level of power dubbed Ultra Instinct, this new form is even more powerful than Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, but it’s not as reliable in terms of summoning it. When he does go into that mode though, he’s incredibly perceptive, and able to dodge foes much easier, as well as amplifies his existing power.
The Extra Pack #2 will be available for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $16.99, and you can get it February 28th.
