Bandai Namco is doing very well in teasing what’s coming for Dragon Ball FighterZ. First they do magazine reveals, then they go to Twitter to do slightly bigger reveals, and then they release micro-trailers that tease even more. They’re very clever in that regard. All of the recent teases have been to confirm that Fused Zamasu is going to be the next DLC character in Dragon Ball FighterZ, and today, we have our first gameplay video of him, and he’s demanding to be praised.
The trailer starts with Zamasu and Goku Black (who is Zamasu in the dead body of Goku from the Android timeline) fusing together to become Fused Zamasu, so that there is no confusion that these are two different forms of Zamasu coming together for incredible power. And then that power gets shown on display, as his attacks are both close range, via Goku Black’s blade strikes, and long range via a series of energy blasts.
And one of the special attacks is him summoning a raven of dark energy to obliterate opponents.
As part of the next tease for the character, you can likely expect a full-on trailer showing him interacting with another character, likely Goku or Future Trunks, and showing his moves more fully. However, what fans really want to know is when is he coming out? Many are suspecting May (as we’re really close to that right now), but it’s still very unclear at present.
What’s also unclear is how regularly the DLC characters will arrive. The first two to arrive were Broly and Braddock, who released at the same time. In contrast, Fused Zamasu is apparently going to be alone when he arrives.
Despite the appreciation for Fused Zamasu, most Dragon Ball FighterZ players are waiting for the arrival of Vegito into the game, who is rumored to be one of the next DLC characters.
