Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best-selling games of the year so far, and Arc Systems has proved they can take a proven anime franchise and turn it into their style of fighting game. The game has had a packed roster since its release, but, the team have made it clear that DLC would be a major part of the title too. We’ve already gotten two DLC characters so far, and now, via a page scanned on Twitter, we know who will be the third. Fused Zamasu.
If you’re not familiar with the character, don’t worry, Zamasu was introduced in the most recent Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Super. What’s more, he’s a character from another dimension. Zamasu was the North Kai of his universe, and learned quickly to despise humans, so much so that he wants to wipe them out so that their “stain” can be cleaned off the universe. One attempt to do this resulted in him becoming Goku Black, the other was to fuse the past and future versions of himself and become the form you see now.
Yeah…this guy is a bit nuts…, ok he’s really nuts, but, he’s also extremely powerful, and that will translate into Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The scans only reveal so much, but, they state that Zamasu will be able to control how he “floats” in the air, which would be unique compared to the other fighters in the game. We’ll have to see further details before discussing his special attacks.
Now, one downside to this reveal is that many fans were hoping/expecting another character to be revealed. Specifically, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegito. But, as of yet, he has not been confirmed. It’s possible they could reveal him soon, we’ll just have to wait and see. Until then, Fused Zamasu is definitely something to be excited about.
