Dragon Ball FighterZ was one of the most highly-anticipated games to come out this year, and if early indications are to be believed, this game is a massive hit. It’s so huge that the voices of Goku and Vegeta decided to square off and battle each other in the game because they loved it so much. The game is even setting records on Steam in regards to concurrent players for a fighting game. But, we fans will not be content, for though the roster is big…it could be bigger.
Plus, as publisher Bandai Namco has proven in the past with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, why stop with the main roster when you can add DLC characters? And according to a datamining report, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. On Resetera, user TDLink posted news that the DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ could be: Broly, Bardock, Zamasu, Vegito, Cooler, Android 17, and the base forms of Goku and Vegeta.
Now, to be clear, this is NOT confirmed, this is only based on what TDLink said was coming, and there’s already been some debate over whether these will be actual character additions, and not just Avatar costumes. TDLink rebutted with the following:
“All characters with 2 or more Avatars are playable. And no non-playable character has multiple Avatars. So it stands to reason these -will- be playable.”
He makes a compelling point, and to be fair, some of these characters would be great additions to the game. Broly, for example, is an incredibly powerful character, so seeing him in action here would be great. Vegito is another interesting one, as this is the “fusion” form of Goku and Vegeta, and as we saw in the Buu saga, he’s one tough guy.
If Bandai Namco confirms these, we’ll let you know, but for now, let us know what you think of these potential DLC characters!
