Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Gets Epic Launch Trailer
Dragon Ball FighterZ has been changing the fighting game since it arrived in February. It’s mix of true anime style visuals (that looks like they literally from the anime series) with a simplistic but deep combat system have made it accessible to players of all types, regardless of whether you’re a fighting game aficionado or not. The game also respects the history of the anime by bringing together an impressive roster of characters from throughout the anime’s history, and tomorrow, two more big names are about to be added to the roster.
To celebrate the arrival of Broly and Bardock, Bandai Namco has released a trailer showing off the two characters in action, as well as teasing some other things that you can expect. Broly faces off against Goku and his family, while Bardock faces off against Frieza. For those who know the anime, these character’s stories and fates were intertwined with these opponents.
What’s really cool about this though is that we get glimpses at some of the scripted events that happen in Dragon Ball FighterZ when certain characters are used. For example, we get to see the family Goku come together for a massive Kamehameha Wave that kills Broly (which is pulled straight from the anime movie Broly was born from.) Whereas Bardock sees himself getting wiped out by Frieza via the attack that destroyed Planet Vegeta. And yet, in a fun twist, Bardock apparently sees a glimpse of the future where Goku (his son) fights Frieza on Namek, which is pretty cool.
What this really proves is that Dragon Ball FighterZ knows how to do fan service in the absolutely best way possible, which will make this DLC all the more fun for players to get.
The wait is almost over, the DLC arrives tomorrow on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
