Dragon Ball FighterZ Coming To Switch September 28th
Just before E3 2018, a piece of paper was leaked only that had a bunch of 3rd party games apparently coming to the Nintendo Switch. Among these games were Overcooked 2, Fortnite, Killer Queen Black, and Dragon Ball FighterZ, among others. One by one, all of these games got confirmed for the system, and many fans were happy. Yet when FighterZ was shown at the Nintendo Digital Event, all it said was “Coming 2018”. Many were not happy with this, as they felt a release date should’ve been given.
Well, a little over a week since that digital event, and Bandai Namco has now given gamers a release date. The Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will arrive on September 28th. So a little over three months away, but considering how long we’ve been waiting for this announcement, it’s not too much longer. Plus, this gives them a little extra time to ensure they have everything right for it.
Oh the many, MANY, 3rd party games that people have wanted to see ported on the Switch, FighterZ was among one of the top ones. Not just because of the animes popularity, but rather, people felt this particular Dragon Ball title would fit perfectly with what the Switch has to offer. Portable fighting. Not to mention that the game clearly doesn’t have an “overly taxing” graphic design due to its true anime style, so the Switch would have no problem wanting it. Even the voice actors behind characters like Vegeta said they wanted to see the game on Switch, and now, they have their wish.
There are some questions left unanswered though, including whether the recently released DLC characters will be available right off in the game. But, Bandai Namco did say if you pre-order the game, you’ll get Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta.
