Bethesda has not only been making great games for a while, but they’ve also been reviving classic game series. But they still didn’t stop there. Instead, they continued to expand by bringing these new and classic series into the realm of VR. First will be Skyrim VR, which releases tomorrow. In December, players will get to experience Fallout 4 in VR. And now, via the PlayStation Blog, we know that the other game, Doom VFR will be releasing soon as well. In fact, it’ll be releasing for PS VR on December 1st.
So, what does this version have over the regular Doom? Well, the chance to truly feel like you are Doomguy. What more do you need than that? Well, if you haven’t had the chance to play the original game, then you’re in luck, as Sony is going to be releasing a special Doom VFR bundle.
This bundle will include a PS VR headset, a demo disc to get you started, the PlayStation Camera, and of course, a copy of Doom VFR, and it only costs $399.99.
The best part, and this is becoming Bethesda’s MO when it comes to VR games, is that there are many different ways to play the VR version of Doom. You can play it with the Dualshock controller if you wish. Or, you can use the PlayStation Move controllers should you have them. Also though, the PlayStation VR Aim Controller is also compatible with the game. So whether you want to stand up, sit down, or walk through the game as you walk through your house (be careful though!) you have options.
And options are what you’re going to want as you face the demons of the underworld in Doom. You must take them all out, preferably as brutally as possible. So, get your VR headset, and load up, your mission begins on December 1st.
