Bethesda has announced today that the critically acclaimed and gore-tastic shooter DOOM is out now on Nintendo Switch. In a series that is considered one of the fathers of first person shooters, we saw DOOM release previously on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Now, it has made its way onto the new Nintendo console, bringing a whole lot of action and hellacious gunfire with it.
Marty Stratton, the executive producer at id Software, stated: “We’re excited to welcome Nintendo fans back to the world of DOOM.This game is all about powerful guns, crazy demons, and fast, relentless gameplay, which we think Switch players will really enjoy.”
The game has been developed by id Software, in conjunction with Panic Button. What we see from DOOM on Nintendo Switch is the award-winning base first-person shooter that we saw release on other platforms last year, as well as all of the game’s multiplayer DLC, plus the Arcade Mode as well. As expected, DOOM is rated M for mature by the ERSB, and will set you back full retail price for the Switch version. If you do choose to purchase it, it’s sure to be one hell of an experience on Switch for sure.
