Don’t Worry, Battlefield V Will Have Large Maps
Some players were concerned about the maps in Battlefield V being too small. Thankfully, the developers reached out to assure us that large maps will also come when the game launches.
Betas can often give players the wrong impression when it comes to certain things. That’s why some people think that Battlefield V isn’t going to have any big maps. As you probably know, most Battlefield games have these enormous maps. So big that you need a vehicle to get from point A to point B.
Naturally, fans were concerned that Battlefield V will lack these maps. Do you want your fans to worry over nothing? Of course you don’t, that’s why the lead multiplayer designer for Battlefield V went to Twitter to clarify things. We got to see an in-progress shot of the Hamada map. If you don’t saw the picture of the map and still think it isn’t big, it is. Valerian Noghin, the multiplayer designer for the game, said what’s the distance between the headquarters of the attacks and the final sector of the defenders. The distance between these two points is over 1,500 meters.
That is not small. It seems like the map is going to be quite big. But, we understand where the players are coming from. It’s easy to get a wrong impression of something that isn’t completely available to explore.
It’s a good thing that DICE responded rather quickly in order to reassure their players. You never want your fans to worry over nothing. Especially since Battlefield V had a rocky start ever since the announcement trailer came out.
