Tom Clancy’s The Division has sent a major update to both Microsoft and Sony for certification, with the patch expected to release at some point this month. It is set to launch along with Global Events, Classified Gear sets and more following beta testing on consoles and PC.
The game’s developers have confirmed both the release of the update plus drop rates for Classified caches, which will be a part of the new Global Event system. In a Global Event, players will have the opportunity to unlock Global Tokens from completing missions and taking part in events. These can then be used to purchased Classified caches as the primary method of acquiring Classified Gear sets. The patch also brings two items to each cache that is opened. This presents a 43.5% chance that this will be a normal gear set piece, whilst there’s an 11.5% chance that an Exotic piece will be in the cache.
The update brings another exciting aspect to The Division, the ability to re-cutomize your character. Located in the Terminal, with all features that were chosen at character creation able to be altered in the locker room. So change up your character with new hairstyles, glasses, tattoos, scars and more, all free of charge. It is worth noting that gender cannot be changed, yet there is still plenty of other ways for you to customize your character already.
