Final Fantasy is one of the most popular video game franchises in the history of gaming. Not the least of which is because of its large cast and memorable characters. Over the 30 years that the franchise has been out, the games have brought us such memorable characters as Cloud Strife, Cecil, Squall, Lightning, Yuna, and so much more. For a long time, Final Fantasy has had a lot of unique side games, ones that aren’t considered main canon. And a third entry in one of the most popular ones is coming soon, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
For those who don’t recall, the Dissidia Final Fantasy series was a duo of fighting games that combined characters from the past Final Fantasy titles and allowed both heroes and villains to duke it out. It was very popular, but now it’s coming back in a big way via Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. How so? Well, the original two Dissidia games were for the PSP, but this game is for the PS4. So you can expect bigger graphics, bigger story, and more fun.
But, before the game releases, Square Enix is going to have a big closed beta for the title. And via Press Release, we know that the beta will happen from August 26th to September 4th. But, you need to register for it to get in, so head to the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT site to get in!
Now, who will you get to play as? Well, we found that out too. Here are the characters who will be in the beta: Warrior of Light, Firion, Onion Knight, Cecil Harvey, Bartz Klauser, Terra Branford, Cloud Strife, Squall Leonhart, Zidane Tribal, Tidus, Shantotto, Vaan, Lightning, Y’shtola.
What’s even more awesome is that there are more characters that’ll be in the main game, and who knows what DLC will bring it when the title releases in 2018.
