Diablo 4 Showcases New Stats, Removes Ancient Items
Diablo 4 is getting new stats and is removing Ancient items, because for some reason Blizzard actually listened to player feedback.
Blizzard heard the Diablo 4 complains about the itemization
A lot of players voiced their concerns with Diablo 4 and its items. You basically could pick a piece of gear that would either increase your damage or increase your defense. Not a very robust and complex system for us to experiment with gear and builds as you decide between hitting harder or being able to take more hits. Then, due to some unforeseen circumstance, Blizzard posted a blog which tackles these problems.
You heard me. Blizzard took the feedback players gave them and made some improvements. Diablo 4 got new stats and Ancient items have been removed from the game. To be perfectly honest, I never saw this coming. Perhaps Blizzard knows they don’t get much room for error now, with all the errors they’ve been making this year. So, in a way, they know that their highly anticipated ARPG can’t fail.
Three new stats: Angelic, Demonic, and Ancestral Power
Now, I have to admit, their way of doing this is quite interesting. First of all, they’re increasing the number of affixes on Blue, Yellow, and Legendary items. Then we have the interesting addition of three new stats. Angelic Power (increases duration of self-buffs and healing and other beneficial effects), Demonic Power (debuffs, damage over time, and all other negative effects get an increased duration), and Ancestral Power (increases the chance of procing an on-hit effect).
These new stats are also pre-requisites for certain affixes. For example, if your character possesses 50 Demonic Power, this new sword you found gives +1 to one of your melee skills. You get to still equip the item if you don’t have any Demonic Power at all, but it won’t give you that +1 bonus.
Ancient items got booted out
Diablo 4 is also losing its powerhouse late-game Ancient items. Now, there’s going to be a consumable in the game that allows you to take an non-Legendary item and attach a Legendary affix to it. More ways to let us customize our builds? Wow Blizzard, you really are listening! Some more changes were listed, which can be read on their official blog.
If Blizzard keeps listening to the feedback the players give, Diablo 4 is going to be an excellent ARPG. Now, while we all wait for this game to release, we need something to keep us occupied. That’s why I got a deal for you. There’s a Diablo 3 Battlechest PC game key on HRk Game that you can buy for an extraordinary price! It comes with the base game and the Reaper of Souls expansion, which is enough to keep you occupied for quite a while!
