Devil May Cry HD Collection Will Support 4K on PC

Capcom announced last week the release of Devil May Cry HD Collection in March will not support 4K resolutions on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Whilst this may be the case, the assumption that the PC version of the game would be following suit may have been inaccurate.

It turns out that the PC version of DMC will offer 4K resolutions and beyond after all, as confirmed by Capcom when asked about the Steam version of the HD Collection. The answer from WBacon reads: “The engine and game code/logic is likely tied to the video refresh cycle. The game will support resolutions 4K and beyond though.”

All Devil May Cry games were running at 60fps apparently, which will come as good news to fans. In a similar fashion to Okami HD, and as stated above, the game code/logic is tied to the video refresh cycle. Whilst this means that there won’t be any higher frame rates than 60fps, it still means that it won’t be tied to 30fps at least.

Devil May Cry HD Collection will arrive on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 13th. For better quality in visuals, you may want to hold out for the PC version over consoles, depending on your preference.
