Destiny 3 Isn’t Coming Anytime Soon

Seems like Bungie is going to work on Destiny 2 on the foreseeable future, and Destiny 3 isn’t a game that we should be expected to see anytime soon.

Destiny 2 is getting a lot of great DLCs and expansions. Bungie has been doing great things since the game went free-to-play. Seems like Bungie has a lot more plans laid out for this sci-fi looter shooter, as in an interview with PCGamesN their response to a question regarding Destiny 3 was:

“I understand the question you’re asking and it’s certainly an interesting one, and we’ll have a lot of cool stuff to say on that later, but I’m afraid that moment will have to wait a little bit longer.”

Destiny 2 is almost three years old. It’s probably going to receive a few more expansions, and then Bungie will definitely say something regarding Destiny 3. After all, you can only expand a game like this with so many new bosses, weapons, and areas before the players get bored. Looter shooters have a very basic and repetitive gameplay formula. New fun gameplay mechanics are required to keep things fresh and interesting. And I’m guessing that they’re saving those for the sequel.

What do you think, when will we getting a Destiny 3 announcement? Next year? Or maybe two years from now? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section down below!

In the meantime, I’ll just keep honing my banana-based management skills and dreaming about the day I can explore the next chapter of the Destiny universe.
