Open world exploration will be a key component to Destiny 2, so once the game’s story campaign has concluded, fear not as there will be plenty to be getting on with once it is over. At Gamescom, we got to take a look at one of the many destinations in the highly anticipated sequel with the European Dead Zone.
In the trailer, which you can find just below, we see Devrim Kay, an NPC looking to become somewhat of a liaison within this area. Here, Kay will task you with quests and rewards, as well as providing radio support as you progress. Kay will serve as a faction representative, with the EDZ acting as a new faction.
As part of the open world aspect of Destiny 2, particularly in areas such as the European Dead Zone, you’ll indulge in adventures, patrols, quests, Lost Sectors and whatever else you may come across during your time in the game. This is just one of the locations that you’ll be traversing throughout, with three others confirmed to date.
Destiny 2 will release on Xbox One and PS4 on September 6th, followed by a PC release on October 24th.
