Destiny 2 has released on PC, adding to the already released console versions of the game. The title is already a major hit, as reports are saying that it’s already 2017’s biggest selling game after only one month, and that’s obviously not counting the PC sales that are sure to come. And, with the new players comes new conversations, many of which will no doubt happen on Reddit. To that end, the moderators of the Destiny 2 subreddit have decided to make a welcome post for these players.
The moderators want the subreddit to be a place that anyone, returning veteran or brand new player, can find information that’ll help them in the game. Whether that will be tips, tricks, guides, suggestions, or just discussions about the game itself. In fact, to make sure everyone gets their fair share, the subreddit has been deemed “console neutral”, meaning that any attacks on Xbox One, PS4, or PC players for playing Destiny 2 on a specific platform is prohibited.
Now, the obvious elephant in the room is that the Destiny 2 subreddit has been filled with posts recently about how “bad” the game is, and the moderators admit that the amount of posts like this have been “exasperating.” That being said, they promise to continue moderating all of these posts so that they make sure that any that fall into the crude, profane, or just plain wrong categories are removed instantly. Again, they want this to be a place where all players can enjoy talking to one another about the game.
Other than that, they listed all the numerous daily and weekly threads that help make the subreddit so unique. So, if you haven’t gone there yet, check them out! You might just find something special about the game, or a piece of info you didn’t have before.
