It was probably to be expected, given the past behavior of players across the two games and several expansions, but players are grinding loot from a cave once more.
This exploit was discovered recently and allows you to grind out tokens for the Faction Rally event, with the practice seeing players running back and forth in and out of the cave’s back door, where a respawning chest is farmed.
If you’d like to perform this exploit yourself, you can do so by heading to the Lost Sector known as The Weep on Earth’s European Dead Zone. From there, you should go ahead and shoot everything that is inside, before looting the chest inside. Then, you’ll want to run to the caves back door then back to the chest, which will allow you to loot it again. Simply repeat this process over and over as many times as you please to get the desired amount of tokens.
Bungie has attempted to eradicate players from farming Lost Sectors by introducing a cap on the amount of loot that can be dropped within the timeframe. However, it appears that the team behind the game has managed to somehow miss out Faction Rally tokens. Time will tell as to whether or not this will be fixed, though it’s more than likely.
