Destiny 2 Players Not Happy With New Expansion’s Lack Of Post-Game Content

One of the most frequent stories we wrote about here on HRK last year was about Destiny 2. It, along with games like Battlefront II, earned the ire of gamers through certain questionable design choices. Not the least of which was putting certain expansions and DLC behind paywalls, and not using what the previous game did right, and instead, remaking it into a system that wasn’t as in-depth or as enjoyable. Fans raged, and Bungie tried to make up for it, but with “Warmind”, they may have failed again.

The “Warmind” expansion was meant to delve even deeper into the story of Destiny 2, and according to players…they actually did good. Which is a big win for Bungie. However, they also advertised with the expansion that there would be more post-campaign content. Which, as players on Resetera are noting…they did not. Or, at least not to the degree that was promised:

The only new and original Strike is exclusive to PlayStation. These are advertised as new and separate content, same as they are in the original game. However in the new DLC Warmind two of them are literally just the last two campaign levels, with the third and only original content one being exclusive to PlayStation.

It’s hard to defend Bungie when there’s evidence showing that they indeed did say this. And it’s even sadder because this is kind of what they did when Destiny 2 launched. One of the biggest complaints was that there wasn’t much to do after the main campaign was done. And when Curse of Osiris came out, it promised more post-campaign content…and it did give it…to those who bought the DLC, and only them.

These decisions keep bringing the game down to a level where you just don’t know how long they can keep doing it before people just stop playing it.
