Destiny 2 May Get Weapon Slot Changes
Destiny 2 is one of the games that will be debated about for years as to why it turned out the way it did. Bungie made a lot of changes from the original hit title, and many of them did not make gamers happy. To that end, Bungie has been working since it launch (on both console and PC) to try and remedy things so that players can enjoy the game fully. Now, it appears as though Bungie may be changing another thing due to fan requests.
During a Bungie Bounty Twitch stream, a couple members of the team were asked about whether weapons slots could get some changes to match what Destiny had originally. One team member said:
“I think that’s a reasonable request. Ultimately though, we want to do something better. Either way, we’re actively working on weapon slot changes right now. Like, right now.”
Though the changes may be coming, another team member noted that there “are a lot of things in playtest” in regards to weapons changes, so it’s likely we won’t be seeing the changes for a little while.
Another big thing that was revealed during the stream was that Destiny 2 might be getting a public test server. These servers are popular in titles like World of Warcraft and Overwatch as it lets gamers test out new developments and see if they’re up to snuff. And it appears Bungie and gamers like that idea:
“We’ve heard the feedback that the community wants more involvement or at least more of a conversation. We’re actually looking at ways with the stream, but even in-game, you know there’s a big desire for testing builds early so it’s something we’re thinking about and talking about and working on,”
It should be noted at present that they aren’t working on the test server right now, but it may be starting development soon.
